Ingredients

  • Deep scrub meat - 500 grams
  • Lemongrass, crushed - 2 sticks
  • Citrus leaves - 2 pieces
  • Shallots - 10 grains
  • Garlic - 6 cloves
  • Ginger - 1 segment
  • Red chilies - 10 pieces
  • Cayenne pepper - 15 pieces
  • Tamarind water - 2 tbsp
  • Sweet soy sauce - 2 tbsp
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp
  • Water - 800 ml

  • Wash the meat, then cut into pieces, set aside.
  • Puree the spices with a chopper or blender, shallots, garlic, ginger, red chilies, add a little water to make it easier to grind.
  • Heat enough oil, saute ground spices, lemon grass and lime leaves until fragrant. Add the beef pieces, mix well.
  • Add 400 ml of water, season with salt, sugar, sweet soy sauce and tamarind water. Cook until the water shrinks, then add the remaining water.
  • Cook until the water shrinks then add the whole cayenne pepper. Continue cooking until the water runs out, the meat is cooked, tender, and the spices are absorbed. Serve.
