Pretzel Recipe
These pretzels with a soft and slightly chewy taste are sure to be enjoyed often by buying them outside. Who would have thought that making it is not too difficult, similar to making other breads. The ingredients needed are very basic such as flour, yeast and water. You can also get creative with salty or sweet toppings to your liking, such as cheese, nuts, and cinnamon.
Ingredients
- Flour - 250 grams
- Instant yeast - 2 tsp
- Warm water - 100 ml
- Sugar - 2 tbsp
- Salt - 1/4 tsp
- Butter - 2 tbsp
- Stew:
- Water - 500 ml
- Baking soda - 1 tsp
- Spread:
- Egg yolk - 2 eggs
- Toppings:
- Grated parmesan cheese - to taste
- Parsley powder / dry - to taste

- In a bowl, mix warm water with instant yeast. Stir until foamy.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar and salt. Pour in the yeast solution and knead until smooth.
- Add butter and knead until smooth. Leave it for 30 minutes.
- Divide the dough and weigh each into 50 grams.
- Take one dough. Form into a long rope and position it like a U. Hold each end at the top and then make a knot, pull it down, press, and glue. Repeat until all the batter is used.
- In a saucepan, heat all ingredients to a boil.
- Boil the dough in boiling water for only 30 seconds. Lift and drain.
- Prepare the pan. Arrange the pretzels on top.
- Brush the surface with egg yolk. Top with grated parmesan cheese and parsley powder.
- Bake at 170°C for 15-20 minutes until cooked and browned. Lift.
- Ready to be served.
- Pretzels can also be made sweeter by dipping baked pretzels (without toppings) into a mixture of cinnamon powder and sugar.
