Magelang Typical Godog Rice Recipe
In Magelang and surrounding areas, there is a unique menu that is also sold by Javanese / village-style fried rice traders. Namely boiled rice or boiled rice. Similar to village boiled noodles, only the basic ingredients of noodles are replaced with rice. Like fried rice, choose white rice pera or leftovers from last night to make fried rice, so the cooking results are not too lodoh or mushy.
Ingredients
- White rice - 1 plate
- Wet noodles - 100 grams
- Eggs, beaten - 2 eggs
- Fried chicken, shredded - 1 piece
- Meatballs, thinly sliced - 5 grains
- Carrot, thinly sliced - 1 piece
- Cabbage, chopped - 100 grams
- Green mustard, chopped - 100 grams
- Tomatoes, cut into 4 - 1 fruit
- Broth - 1 liter
- Oil, for frying - 3 tbsp
- Spice:
- Garlic, chopped - 3 cloves
- Shallots, chopped - 2 grains
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Sugar - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper - 1/2 tsp
- Sweet soy sauce, optional - 1 tbsp
- Complementary:
- Celery, sliced - 1 stick
- Spring onions, sliced - 2 stalks

Plans
- Heat the oil. Saute garlic and red until fragrant.
- Enter the eggs. Let stand a moment then scrambled. Stir well.
- Add carrots, cabbage, mustard greens, and tomatoes. Pour a little broth and cook until it boils and the vegetables are cooked, while closing the pan.
- Add shredded chicken and meatballs. Stir well.
- Add salt, sugar, pepper and soy sauce. Stir well.
- Pour in the remaining broth. Stir well and cook again until boiling, while closing the pan.
- Add rice and noodles. Mix well and then adjust the taste. Lift.
- Ready to be served with a sprinkling of complementary ingredients.
- 1. Choose pera rice or cold rice left over from last night / yesterday so that the Godog rice dish is not too mushy.
