Ingredients

  • Rendang beef - 1 kg
  • Thick coconut milk from 3 coconuts - 1 kg
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Lemongrass - 2 sticks
  • Kaffir lime leaves - 5 pieces
  • Turmeric leaves - 2 pieces
  • Kandis acid - 2 pieces
  • Salt to taste
  • Cinnamon - 2 cm
  • Cloves - 5 pieces
  • Lawang flower - 2 pieces
  • Ground spices:
  • Curly red chilies - 20 pieces
  • Shallots - 20 cloves
  • Garlic - 6 cloves
  • Ginger - 2 cm
  • Laos - 2 cm
  • Coriander - 1 tsp
  • Buy ingredients and cooking utensils

Plans

  • Cut and wash the meat according to the desired shape.
  • Grind all the ground spices.
  • Put the ground spices into a pot or pan, then immediately add the coconut milk, water and meat.
  • Stir until thick continuously, do not let the coconut milk break.
  • While stirring, add lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, turmeric leaves, kandis acid and salt.
