Pepes Tofu Recipe
Not only fish, tofu can also be processed into a delicious spicy dish. It's very easy to make, and tastes delicious too. The tofu will be crushed, mixed with ground spices, and added with other ingredients such as basil leaves, tomatoes, and cayenne pepper. Just before serving, briefly grill the peppers on a flat pan so that they are warm and the aroma is delicious.
Ingredients
- Tofu medium size - 3 pieces
- Basil leaves - 1 handful
- Egg - 1 egg
- Red tomatoes, cut into large cubes - 1 piece
- Sugar - 1 tsp
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Cayenne pepper, sliced oblique - 10 pieces
- Banana leaves for wrapping - 6 pieces
- Toothpick or stick - to taste

- Candlenut - 3 grains
- Shallots - 5 pieces
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Turmeric - 3 cm
- Curly red chilies - 3 pieces

Plans
- Puree the tofu using a fork.
- Mix tofu with all other ingredients and spices. Stir well.
- Take two banana leaves and stack them, put the Pepes dough on top. Wrap in the shape of a tum. Repeat until all the batter is used.
- Steam the pepes until cooked for 20 minutes. Lift.
- Grill the Pepes on a flat pan/pan that has been smeared with a little oil, until it smells good.
- Ready to be served.
- 1. Bake the banana leaves for a while on the stove until slightly wilted. This is so that the banana leaves do not tear when used to wrap.
