As the name implies, this cake has a shape like pieces of rope twisted around each other. The taste is sweet, slightly savory and very crunchy. This cake is perfect as a snack while relaxing or a treat for guests.

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour - 200 grams
  • Powdered sugar - 70 grams
  • Egg - 1 egg
  • Instant coconut milk - 1 tbsp
  • Margarine - 30 grams
  • Baking powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Buy ingredients and cooking utensils

Plans

  • In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, eggs and coconut milk. Mix well using a whisk / whisk.
  • Add flour and knead until smooth.
  • Add margarine. Knead again until smooth. Knead the dough and cover with plastic wrap. Rest for 20 minutes.
  • Take the dough and then roll it thin about 1/2 cm thick with a rolling pin. Cut into 1/2 cm wide and 20 cm long.
  • Take a piece of dough and hold the two ends with both hands. Twist in the opposite direction and then bring the two ends together while pressing/gluing (so they don't come off easily when fried). Do it until the dough runs out.
  • Heat a lot of oil. Fry mine cake on medium-low heat until cooked and browned. Lift and drain. Chill.
  • Ready to serve or store in an airtight container.
  • Use medium heat that tends to be low so that the cake cooks evenly so that it is crispy and durable.
