Beef Tangsuyuk Recipe
This tangsuyuk recipe is made of beef with a Korean sweet and sour sauce. In Korea, tangsuyuk is also often cooked at home for special occasions. Because of its sweet taste, kids love it too! Ingredients
- Sirloin beef - 500 grams
- Ginger, puree - 2 fingers
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
- Corn flour - 250 grams
- Egg white - 1 egg
- Enough water
- Right amount of oil
- Sauce:
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Ear mushroom - 50 grams
- Cucumber - 1/2 fruit
- Pineapple, chopped - 50 grams
- Onion - 1/2 piece
- Soy sauce - 1 tbsp
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Sugar - 4 tbsp
- Cooking vinegar - 2 tbsp
- Maizena, dissolved in a little water - 2 tbsp
- Water - 350 ml
- Purchase ingredients and cooking utensils

- Cut the meat into thin strips lengthwise, coat with salt, ground pepper and ginger. Marinate for one hour.
- Mix cornstarch with enough water, stir well then let stand one hour until it settles. After settling, clear the top of the water.
- Mix the egg whites into the cornstarch mixture. Break the flour and mix well until it becomes a thick dough. Add the marinated meat, mix well.
- Fry the meat in a lot of hot oil (deep frying). Put them one by one, don't fill them up so they don't stick together. When it is golden brown, remove and drain.
- Sauce: Saute onions in a little oil until fragrant, add carrots and ear mushrooms, stir fry for a while then add water.
- After the carrots are tender, add the cucumber and pineapple, season with soy sauce, salt, sugar and cooking vinegar.
- Add cornstarch solution, cook until thickened. Turn off the fire.
- Arrange the meat on a serving plate, pour the vegetable sauce on it. Ready to be served warm.
- 1. To make it crispier like the original Korean tangsuyuk, you can use potato flour.
