Ingredients

  • Rice - 300 grams
  • Red tomatoes - 250 grams
  • Smoked beef, cut into squares - 3 pieces
  • Cooking oil - 3 tbsp
  • Garlic, finely chopped - 3 cloves
  • Shallots, finely chopped - 4 cloves
  • Onions, coarsely chopped - 1/2 pieces
  • Ginger, bruised - 2 cm
  • Lemongrass, take the white only and crush it - 2 stalks
  • Citrus leaves - 2 pieces
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Ground beef broth - 1/2 tsp
  • Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Water - 500 ml
  • Celery, chopped for sprinkling - 1 tsp
  • Lime, for garnish - 1 piece

  • Heat cooking oil, saute garlic and onion until fragrant. Add the onion and ginger, stir briefly. Add the lemongrass and lime leaves, stir fry for a while.
  • Add smoked beef, stir fry for a while. Turn off the fire.
  • Peel the skin of the tomatoes, remove the seeds, coarsely chop. Set aside.
  • Wash the rice, put it in the rice cooker. Pour in the water, then add the chopped tomatoes, stir-fried smoked beef, salt, ground beef stock, and ground pepper. Stir to mix the spices evenly.
  • Automatically cook until the rice is cooked.
  • Tomato rice is ready to be served with a sprinkling of chopped celery and lime juice if you like.
