Ingredients

  • Pindang cob - 500 grams
  • Basil - 1 bunch
  • Tomatoes, cut into pieces - 2 pieces
  • Banana leaves, for wrapping - to taste
  • Ground spices:
  • Shallots - 8 grains
  • Garlic - 5 grains
  • Big red chilies - 8 pieces
  • Cayenne pepper - 10 pieces
  • Tomatoes - 2 pieces
  • Candlenut - 5 grains
  • Brown sugar - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Broth powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Buy ingredients and cooking utensils

  • Clean the cob pindang, remove the head and thorns, set aside.
  • Puree all the spices, add brown sugar, salt and powdered broth. Stir well.
  • Take 1 banana leaf, put the tuna to taste then give 2 tablespoons of the mashed seasoning. Add chopped tomatoes and basil leaves.
  • Roll a banana leaf to wrap, securing the ends with a stick or toothpick. Do it until it's all gone.
  • Steam for 20 minutes until the peppers are cooked.
