Made from bananas, this cake was then named banana cake or banana sponge cake. As a new creation to enjoy bananas in sponge, this cake has a very delicious taste. The soft and tender texture with a thick banana flavor is its main characteristic.

Ingredients

  • Ripe bananas, mashed - 200 grams
  • Butter - 125 grams
  • Palm sugar - 80 grams
  • Medium protein flour - 175 grams
  • Baking powder - 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon powder - 1 tsp
  • Eggs - 2 eggs

  • Mix butter and sugar until fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one by one while beating until evenly distributed, turn off the mixer.
  • Add flour and baking powder (while sifting), cinnamon, then stir until evenly distributed. Then add the bananas, stir until smooth again.
  • Pour the mixture into a baking sheet that has been greased and lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 45 minutes at 180°C (depending on each oven you have).
  • Do a toothpick test to see if the dough is done.
  • Choose ripe bananas from Ambon, Sunpride, or Cavendish bananas.
