Who would have thought that this contemporary cake in the shape of a banana is made by steaming it! In addition, the ingredients are quite simple and not very diverse. You can be creative with cake fillings or toppings like the following recipe.

Ingredients

  • Eggs - 4 eggs
  • SP - 1 tsp
  • Granulated sugar - 150 grams
  • Butter - 150 grams
  • Wheat flour - 200 grams
  • Banana and vanilla flavor - to taste
  • Yellow and green coloring - to taste
  • White chocolate, for topping - to taste
  • Margarine, for greasing the pan - to taste
  • Purchase ingredients and cooking utensils

  • Prepare a steaming pot/cooker. Wrap the lid of the pot with a clean cloth to avoid dripping water. Heat a steamer/cooker pot on the stove.
  • Melt the butter. Set aside.
  • In a bowl, beat eggs, SP and sugar on full speed until soft peaks.
  • Give a little banana and vanilla flavor, then continue the mixer on low speed until blended.
  • Add the flour to the dough. Stir with a spatula from bottom to top until evenly distributed.
  • Prepare a special tokyo banana cake pan / mold that has been smeared with margarine. Pour the mixture into the pan until it is full.
  • Steam the cake for 15 minutes until cooked. Remove and cool cake.
  • While waiting for the cake to cool, melt the white chocolate. Add a little banana flavor and stir until well blended. Divide the melted white chocolate into 2 parts, give each a little yellow and green coloring and mix well.
  • Take the cake and dip the top surface into the melted white chocolate. Dip alternately between yellow and green.
  • Ready to be served.
  • Use high heat when steaming the cake.
