Dange Cake Recipe
This typical South Sulawesi dange cake is so delicious. Made from black glutinous rice flour and grated coconut, this snack is perfect for pairing with hot tea while relaxing in the afternoon. If you have a pukis mold at home, you can try the recipe, it's quite easy to make.
Ingredients
- Black glutinous rice flour - 200 grams
- Grated coconut - 100 grams
- Brown sugar, fine comb - 100 grams
- Sugar - 2 tbsp
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Boiled water - 60 ml
- Purchase ingredients and cooking utensils

- Steam the grated coconut for 20 minutes, remove and set aside.
- Mix black glutinous rice flour, grated coconut, brown sugar, granulated sugar and salt. Pour the water little by little while stirring until smooth, the dough is wet but still scattering.
- Heat a dange cake mold or you can also use a pukis mold, spread it with thin margarine. Pour the mixture into the mold while compacting.
- Bake the dough until done. Once cooked, remove from the mold.
- Dange cake is ready to be served.
