Who doesn't like a cake that is soft and has a soft texture? Of course not, right . Soft classic cake like Lapis Surabaya for example. This cake is famous for its softness. The appearance is also attractive even though it looks simple, consisting of three layers, namely a brown color in the middle which is flanked by a yellowish cake.

Ingredients

  • Egg yolk - 8 eggs
  • Whole egg - 1 piece
  • Sugar - 120 grams
  • Wheat flour - 45 grams
  • Maizena - 15 grams
  • Powdered milk - 1 tbsp
  • Vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • Mayonnaise - 1 tsp
  • Sweetened condensed - 1 tbsp
  • Cooking oil - 1 tsp
  • Butter - 50 grams
  • Margarine, melted with butter - 75 grams
  • Cocoa powder, brewed with a little hot water until it becomes a thick paste - 5 grams
  • Strawberry jam - to taste
  • Purchase ingredients and cooking utensils

  • Prepare a baking sheet with 3 sizes 24x24, grease it with margarine and line it with parchment paper.
  • Combine mayonnaise, sweetened condensed and cooking oil in a bowl, mix well, set aside.
  • Sift flour, milk powder and vanilla, set aside.
  • Whisk eggs and sugar until white, streaky. Then, add the flour mixture, and beat for a while just to make it smooth. Add mayonnaise mixture, beat briefly.
  • Add the butter mixture, beat briefly again. Stir again to make sure no liquid has separated at the bottom of the container.
  • Divide the dough into 3 equal parts, mix with the chocolate paste in 1 part.
  • Pour into the tin and oven 200⁰C for 25 minutes / until cooked. After 25 minutes, pierce with a stick to see if the cake is done.
  • After making sure the sticks are not wet, remove the layer cake from the oven and let it cool.
  • Solution: Brush the top of the cake with jam, and stack alternately, yellow, brown, yellow. Then cut.
