5 Types of Kitchen Knives and Their Functions

Knives will definitely not be separated from mothers who are in the kitchen world, yes, before I was avid watching cooking shows on TV and going directly into the kitchen, I didn't care at first if it turned out that knives were like workshop tools, they had various kinds and their functions were also different. .

As far as I know, that's the knife, you want it to slice, cut, chop, chop, etc... hehe but it turns out that by knowing the specific function of the knife, kitchen work can be easier and faster, you know, what's more for cutting- cut. Because each knife was designed with their respective functions.

To add to the excitement in the kitchen, I finally bought a variety of knife tools online. Even though I didn't buy the complete version, I think these 5 types of knives are also quite helpful for my work. And indeed, in reality, you don't use all of them... hihi at least, look at the knives lined up so it feels like you're in the master chef's kitchen.. hoho

I have 5 kinds of knife, with pink color which I really like. When I bought this knife, there was already a wooden holder for the knife nest, so it wouldn't be scattered everywhere, and a bonus of scissors, ah.. anyway I really like this kitchen tool, this is indeed one of my wishlists that has come true, which I haven't yet. all you have to do is buy a ceramic frying pan...which costs a lot (so vent..). Here's what the five knives look like:

The ones I use most often are these 3 knives, even though I use the other 2 often, only a bit rarely. I also use these 3 knives for cutting different cooking ingredients, because the level of sharpness is also different, you know, for example slicing onions, for maximum thinness, you can use a smaller knife than a big knife, and so on. .

1.        Chef's Knife
This No. 1 knife is the second knife that I use most often, and this knife is called a chef's knife, because of its many functions, for slicing, cutting and chopping various types of food. You could say this knife is also widely used in household kitchens, yes. This medium size tends to be very comfortable in the hand, making it suitable for cooking.

2.        Slice Knife / Utility Knife
The size of this knife is smaller than the first knife, sharper and thinner blade than the Chef's Knife, I often use this knife for slicing, such as slicing onions, chilies, and others, which require a thin size. This knife can also be used for slicing fruits and vegetables, and is a versatile one as well.

3.        Paring Knife (Carving Knife)
Actually knife No. The 3 functions are for carving, for example, carving tomatoes or carving rich carrots which I usually like to have in the rice cone, but sometimes I also use it to peel the fruit skin, although it's a bit clumsy, because it's small.. hehe It's also quite sharp, especially the edges, careful!

4.        Bread Knife (Bread Knife)

(Bread knife)
