This ketupat is very delicious to be paired with one of the dishes such as chicken opor. Chicken opor has a distinctive taste because the spices are very pervasive into the chicken to the meat.
For this reason, on this occasion I will share one of the traditional recipes for Eid specialties which is very delicious with Indonesian special chicken opor to be served during Eid.
This recipe is perfect for serving during Eid and also served with warm white rice. Warm white rice that has just been cooked and paired with a chicken opor dish will make it feel very delicious.
Traditional Eid Recipes
Materials needed :
- 1 chicken, clean cut
- 3 slices of galangal
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 lemongrass
- 3 lime leaves
- 6 cloves of red onion
- 4 cloves garlic
- 3 slices of ginger
- 2 finger turmeric
- 2 packs of coconut milk
- Salt to taste
- Sugar to taste
- 1 pack of pepper powder
How to make :
- First, boil the chicken until it's tender, about 30 minutes
- Puree the existing spices include (onion, ginger, turmeric, galangal)
- Saute the spices that have been mashed together with lemongrass, lime leaves and bay leaves
- Add other seasonings including salt, sugar, royco and ground pepper
- Add the chicken to the stir fry and stir until smooth
- Add broth (adjust to taste)
- Wait until it soaks into the chicken meat
- Enter 2 packs of kara coconut milk
- Stir for about 15 minutes
- Add a little remaining broth
- Chicken opor is ready to be served on Eid day
