Hotteok are Korean fried pancakes that are sweet and delicious because of the bread which crispy chewy and sweet peanut filling with brown sugar. Often sold on Korean street food, in Indonesia this snack is also now widely sold you know . If you're curious to make your own at home, our hotteok recipe is a must try. Ingredients

  • Medium protein flour - 180 grams
  • Glutinous flour - 40 grams
  • Instant yeast - 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp
  • Salt - 1/4 tsp
  • Cooking oil - 1 tbsp
  • Water - 150 ml
  • Stuffing:
  • Roasted peanuts - 50 grams
  • Palm sugar - 50 grams
  • Cinnamon powder - 1 tsp

  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, glutinous rice flour, and instant yeast. Stir well then add sugar and salt, mix well again.
  • Add water and cooking oil, stir until well blended. Make sure the texture of the dough is slightly soft.
  • Cover the dough with a clean towel and let the dough rest for 1 hour at room temperature.
  • Stuffing: Puree roasted peanuts, mix with palm sugar and cinnamon powder, mix well. Set aside.
  • After the dough has risen, grease your hands with oil then knead the dough for a while.
  • Take the dough to taste, flatten then give the stuffing 1 tablespoon or to taste. Close the dough tightly. Place the dough on a tray that has been greased with cooking oil so that the dough does not stick.
  • Heat the Teflon with a little oil, fry the Hotteok while pressing it so that it is flat.
  • Fry until brown, then remove. Serve warm.
