Mpasi 8+ Recipe: Red Rice Porridge Chicken Cake

Inspired by the food with the name " fish cake "... Although I'm not really sure that the food is cake but from fish? How come?! I don't know if it's sweet or salty, or whatever it's just to be honest, I've never really heard of it. After googling it, it turns out that it tastes really salty because it's made from ingredients like potatoes and fish, and you can imagine the moist texture like potato cakes.

Since the only ingredients in the fridge are chicken, so I thought about the idea of ​​making this "chicken cake". In my opinion, this is really suitable for babies, whether they want to be used as a side dish or finger food. It's similar to nuggets, only you don't use the program in deep frying, so it's healthier like that. From the reference on how to cook it, it's fried in a little oil, so it looks like you want to bake but you don't have a grill, so you bake it in Teflon..

If I wanted to get super moist and oil-free results, I made this "cake" using the steaming technique. Actually, there's no problem with baby food using a stir fry program, etc., only if I personally prefer olive oil, butter, or VCO to be poured directly into the food, without having to pass through the stove. 

This is also one of my favorite homemade frozen foods when I die, what cooking style for children, and of course less salt (for the older brother) and no salt (for the younger brother).

Chicken Cake Recipe
Cooking time: 60 minutes

Ingredients
250 gr chicken filet
50 gr carrots
1/2 medium size
onion 1 chicken egg (for babies less than 1 year old I use only the yolk, the remaining white is for the older brother)
2 tablespoons finely ground bread flour
1 clove of onion white

Balur Ingredients:
150 gr bread flour
1 egg ( I ​​used the leftover egg white that was not used earlier)

How to make:
Cut the carrots, then steam briefly, about 5 minutes.
Blend chicken filet, carrots, onions, and garlic. (If you still want the fiber, you can chop the chicken, perfect for nuggets. If you want it to be really smooth and blend, you can use a blender.). I make two doughs, I don't give salt for babies. For her sister I give a little salt and pepper, to make it more savory.
Heat the steamer, cook the dough until cooked.
After cooked, wait a bit to cool then cut into pieces, and ready to be balur.
Prepare the eggs, put the steamed "cake" one by one into the egg, then roll it in breadcrumbs, set aside, repeat until the ingredients run out. For babies less than 1 year old, so that the flour sticks, I dip it in boiled water, then breadcrumbs.
Store in the freezer for up to 3 weeks, or fry right away. As for the baby cake, I steam it again when it heats up, not fried.

PS: Whole eggs according to the references I read can only be given to children over 1 year old, because (the white part) is one of the things that triggers allergies. but if the child has no history of allergies, it can be given after 8 months and above. As a precaution, infants under 1 year of age are given the yolk only. If I go, I'm just looking for safety.. hehe
