Culinary Info: Bakso Panghegar Bandung, You Must Try (part 1)
Another Bandung culinary that you should not miss when traveling around the city of flowers: Bakso Panghegar.
Even though there are countless sellers of meatballs, and almost every turn, the tongue won't lie, you just know which ones are really delicious.
I've heard the name Bakso Panghegar since middle school, but if I really tasted it at a new place yesterday..(I'm sorry for this slang..😥😄), the rest eat if someone wraps it and brings it home..haha
According to the seller's mother's statement, this meatball (I also seriously just found out from the source directly), if this Panghegar Meatball has been around since the 86's, aka until this article was written, it's more than 30 years old.. it's pretty durable huh👏
Unfortunately, I didn't continue to chat with the owner because my stomach was already hungry.. hehe for sure, this seller (I don't think so, I didn't ask) is a husband and wife who are quite old, and they really take care of the "patients", so this is it's also possible that the taste doesn't change...
The seller is very friendly, doesn't take long to sit down and is served immediately, that's the way to talk while waiting. FYI, this shop isn't really big, it's really homy , there are two floors, but I chose the one below, coincidentally close to the cart where the meatballs are made.
FYI again, this panghegar meatball has been selling street food for decades in the Jl. Hasanuddin, Bandung. But now if you look there you will not find it anymore, because it has moved to Jl. Teuku Umar (next to the UNPAD mosque), said he had been brought under control last month. Fortunately, there is an announcement on the big tree where the meatballs will be moved.. 😊
The meatball menu is quite complete, from meatball soup to ala Yamin, all complete, along with additional toppings, such as claws, dumplings, and friends, just choose according to your taste .
Incidentally, I really like Yamin-style meatballs (the noodles are made in the style of fried noodles, and the meatball soup is served in a separate bowl). And for the meatballs, I chose the claw meatballs.
Ouch... Looking at the photo, I can imagine how delicious it was . The noodles first, I honestly really like this panghegar meatball yamin seasoning, not too much soy sauce, and the sweetness is just right. On average, the meatball maker doesn't really understand, it's like it's muddy, it's not clear, not to mention the soy sauce is really thick, it feels like eating noodles and soy sauce . This one is different!
And if you don't like sweet yamin, there's also salty yamin. I haven't tried it yet, and what I can imagine is maybe using soy sauce this time, I'm curious maybe I'll try it later, but seriously, I don't think I'll be able to move on from the sweet meatballs...
Now let's move on to the meatballs with claws, OMG... The kuahhh, top markotop the sauce is really light, not a lot of salary, but still tastes like beef broth.. the staple.. I like it.. I like it.. 😂
hmm.. Just tips, if you buy meatballs with too much sauce, if they're cold they won't taste good anymore (try it!). What's more, you can see the solid fat on the surface of the gravy
But if the gravy is light , even though it's cold, it's still clear and delicious (the savory taste comes from the bone and marrow, not the salary).
Have you ever felt like you've eaten meatballs and you feel dizzy? It's not just because it's expensive... Hehe, you might unknowingly consume too much saturated fat from the broth.
