5 Tips for Preparing Baby Food Without Hassle

(Baby food) |
The age of a 6 month baby is sometimes the most awaited, even some mothers (including me.. hihi) have been making preparations since a few months before. Looking for solid food recipes from books, the internet, and others, from collecting knick-knacks for cutlery, to small details that other people might see and shake their heads, hmm. All kinds of food for breaking the fast are collected, until the time of sunset arrives (This one is really an experience, huh..😁)
Until the time for complementary foods came, the excitement was unstoppable, started making a daily schedule, what do baby eats on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and so on... and all of a sudden everything was organic, without MSG, and highly nutritious. But two weeks later, the spirit began to decline, and two months later, idealism began to fade, which is usually the ingredients are mixed up, in the end just looking for ingredients that are in the refrigerator, especially if the child is given GTM (shut up movement), the suffering is complete.
But don't be discouraged, or give up, ma'am, here are some tips, for me, this is really helpful and keeps me motivated, at least until the baby can eat family food, so there's no need to bother making team rice porridge, and the like. , and in the end still happy.
- Create Monthly Schedule
This is the part that I like the most, because I can have full control over what goes into the child's body, and for sure this part will never be obtained if the mother decides to give instant food.
A varied diet is the key so that children don't get bored and GTM. But it must still be adjusted to the texture and type of food according to age. In the past, I was really enthusiastic about making Adhia's meal schedule, even though I wasn't very strict in the middle of the road, something was changed, and so on, but at least I have a handle on what my child should eat today.
A variety of foods like this can create a culture of good eating when the child gets older. Here's an example of my doodles:

- Make and Freeze
After making the schedule, the most important thing of all is the execution (and this is almost the most lazy part, what's more, there are no assistants, so I'm a drafter and an applicator.. ).
Next step number 2, is the frozen food system. Not all frozen food is identical to unhealthy, yes, because in principle freezing food does not reduce the nutrition of the food, it's different when raw food is then cooked. Freezing inhibits the growth of bacteria, which makes food stale and unfit to eat. But remember, it's also not how to kill bacteria.
For me, I usually make 2-3 servings every time, even especially for fruit or vegetable puree I make it for 1 week, by dividing it into ice cube molds, after freezing it can last for a maximum of 1 month. And if you need it, just take it from the freezer, and join it. There is a rule for freezing this food, so not all food can be frozen, next God willing, I will share it in the next post. Now this is what it looks like, I took it from a neighbor's website, because now Adhia doesn't eat puree anymore, and forgot to take the photo at that time .

(Frozen puree, Source: superhealtykids.com) |
It's very similar to what I used to always make, the green ones are usually spinach, broccoli, the orange ones are kabocha, pumpkin machetes, mangoes too, ah... anyway I really like this part, it's colorful 😍😍😍 Now, if you need it, just mix it up, for example the breakfast menu:
"Red rice porridge with mango sauce"
(Just make the rice flour porridge, and finally melt the frozen mango puree. It's pretty good for saving time and energy, you don't have to make a blender every time , every time you want to make this it's a blender, it saves electricity too)
- With or Without Slow Cooker
One of the ultimate weapons for modern mothers to make solid food (especially if the baby is 8 months and over, the more complicated it is to make the food) is a slow cooker, it is said that the ingredients are left to dip, then they will cook it themselves.
Wow, that's really magic, that's why it would be a lie to say that making baby food is difficult. but I personally don't use this tool, I bought it seriously, but when the package arrived home the item was broken (because it's made of ceramic), so I returned it and didn't have time to look for it anymore.
But don't be alarmed, ma'am, the pot with a small steamer is really enough, seriously. At the very least, I just bought a blender, which until now is still very useful.
There are more tips, if you can separate all the utensils for cooking your little one's food from the family cooking utensils, why is that? Hmmm... the first is because the portion of food is usually small, so a small pot is enough, and you don't like the smell to run out cook rendang stuck in baby food..hehe
- Watch Children Growing Healthy
The last thing is to monitor the baby's weight gain, usually it pays off when tired of making baby food by watching children who grow up healthy are smarter and smarter. Remember, a healthy child is not seen from being fat or not, but judging from the suitability of his age.
Can You Use A Blender Instead Of A Baby Food Maker
Baby food maker Blender or food processor: It doesn't need to be fancy, but if you are going to make homemade baby purees, you will need a blender or a food processor. Baking sheet: Most likely you already have these in your kitchen, but you will use them to roast and bake fruits and vegetables before you blend them.
