  • 1 large white tofu (chinese tofu) 
  • Tempeh 1/2 pieces (cut into small pieces)

Mendoan Tofu Dough Ingredients:

  • Flour 5 tablespoons
  • Corn flour 2 teaspoons
  • 3 spring onions (thinly sliced)
  • Cabbage 3 Sheets (small thin slices)
  • 2-3 pieces of curly red chili (thinly sliced)
  • 1-2 curly green chilies (thinly sliced, if you want spicy, you can replace it with cayenne pepper)
  • Paprika powder 1 teaspoon (can also be replaced with chili powder)
  • Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic 3 cloves (mashed)
  • Broth powder 1 teaspoon
  • Salt 1/2 teaspoon
  • Water to taste (Add little by little into the dough until the dough is thick or slightly runny but not too runny)
  • Cooking Oil (used for frying)

How to Make Mendoan Tempeh Tofu:

  1. The first step is to wash the tofu, split it into 2, then cut into small pieces or according to taste. Set aside.
  2. Dough : Mix the flour , cornstarch and other seasonings , mix well .
  3. Add the scallions, garlic, cabbage and sliced ​​chilies. stir again until smooth. You can taste the dough, if you feel something is missing, please add seasoning according to taste.
  4. Next, put the tofu and tempeh into the batter one by one, then fry them in hot enough oil until they are cooked to your liking.
  5. Remove, drain, then put the fried food on a tissue so that the oil is absorbed.
