  • Butter 125 grams
  • 80 gram white sweetened condensed milk or 2 sachets
  • Corn flour 200 grams
  • Pandan paste or green food coloring to taste
  • Choco chips small size for the eyes
  • New comb to texture the caterpillar skin

The Process of Making Baked Green Sago Caterpillar Cake Recipe:

  1. In a bowl, add the butter and sweetened condensed milk and mix well using a fork or spoon.
  2. Enter the cornstarch, stir and mix well then pour in the green dye or pandan paste to taste until all the mixture is evenly mixed in green.
  3. Then take enough dough, round it, twist it into an elongated shape and then use a new comb to make strokes like caterpillars. The trick is to put the dough on a comb, then roll it gently until it gets the texture of a caterpillar skin, then give it two eyes with small chocochips, which then put the dough in a non-greasy pan (I use silpat), do this until the dough runs out. If you have cookie cutters, you can use cookie cutters so you don't have to look for a new comb.
  4. Oven the dough using a temperature of 130 degrees Celsius for approximately 25 minutes or you can adjust the temperature of each oven.
  5. When it is cooked, remove the caterpillar cake from the oven, then arrange it on a cooling rack. Wait for it to cool, then put it in an airtight jar.
