Sweet And Sour Gourami Fish Recipe
One of the most popular freshwater fish is carp. There are also many processed variations of this carp, ranging from carp with oyster sauce, carp flour, carp grilled, to carp and sweet and sour which will be discussed in this recipe. The savory taste with soft meat, combined with sweet and sour spices is very delicious. Keep in mind to make this sweet and sour carp, the fish should not be fried too long. Ingredients
- Carp, fillet of meat and cut into pieces according to taste - 1 tail or 500 grams
- Lime juice - 1 tsp

- Wheat flour - 50 grams
- Tapioca flour - 25 grams
- Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
- Sweet and sour sauce ingredients:
- Onion - 1/2 piece
- Garlic, coarsely chopped - 2 cloves
- Large red chilies, sliced long - 2 pieces
- Tomato sauce - 5 tbsp
- Chili sauce - 3 tbsp
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Sugar - 1 tsp
- Carrots, cut to taste - 1 piece
- Green onions, cut into slices - 2 sticks
- Water - 200 ml
- Cornstarch, dissolved in a little water - 1/2 tbsp

- Coat the fish fillets with the grated garlic, salt, pepper and lime juice. Leave it for 15 minutes.
- Roll and coat the fish fillets, including the bones, into the coating.
- Fry in hot oil over medium heat until cooked and golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Heat some oil. Saute garlic and onions until fragrant. Add tomato sauce, chili sauce, water, and carrots. Cook carrots until soft.
- Add salt, pepper, sugar, scallions, and chili slices and mix well. Add cornstarch solution. Cook until sauce thickens.
- Arrange the carp and fried fillet on a serving plate. Drizzle with sweet and sour sauce on top. Serve immediately while warm.
