Lemang is traditionally made by cooking sticky rice with coconut milk in a bamboo sleeve over coals. Now, you can make lemang easier like making rice cake. Identical to breaking the fast in the Minang area, lemang is most delicious eaten with black sticky rice.

Ingredients

  • Lemang:
  • White glutinous rice - 500 grams
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Lontong mold - to taste
  • Banana leaves - to taste
  • Tapai:
  • Black sticky rice - 1 kg
  • Yeast, puree - 1.5 grains
  • Buy ingredients and cooking utensils
