Milk Bath Cake (tres Leches) Recipe
Once cooked, the cake will be sprinkled with sweet white milk and then cooled in the refrigerator before finally being served. When served, the cake will look wet with a little milk gravy. This cake is more delicious served chilled after being stored for a while in the refrigerator.
Ingredients
- Cake Ingredients:
- Wheat flour - 200 grams
- Baking powder - 1 tsp
- Butter - 100 grams
- Granulated sugar - 75 grams
- Eggs - 5 eggs
- Vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Sprinkling Material:
- Liquid milk - 250 ml
- Evaporated milk - 200 ml
- Sweetened condensed milk - 200 ml
- Topping Ingredients:
- Liquid whipping, beat until stiff - 300 ml
- Fresh fruit - to taste
- Purchase ingredients and cooking utensils

- Beat butter and sugar using a mixer on medium speed until fluffy.
- Add vanilla (mixer is still on).
- Add the eggs one at a time while lowering the mixer speed.
- Add the flour, salt and baking powder while sifting into the dough. Mix well with a mixer.
- Pour the mixture into a baking dish that has been greased and dusted with flour.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes at 180ºC. Remove from oven. Prick the cake with a fork all over and allow the cake to cool.
- In a bowl, mix all the pouring ingredients until smooth.
- Remove the cooled cake from the tin. Pour the sprinkles evenly over the cake.
- Top with whipped cream and fruit.
- Ready to be served.
- 1. Liquid whipping can be replaced with powdered whipped cream. Follow the instructions for making whipped cream on the back of the package.
