Korean Sweet Potato Bread Recipe
Make sweet potato-shaped buns for the kids at home. This bread is also delicious to be an afternoon snack with hot tea. Its attractive appearance is like sweet potatoes, making Korean ubi bread which is now popular, you should make it at home. Follow the recipe.
Ingredients
- Tapioca flour - 200 grams
- White glutinous rice flour - 30 grams
- High protein flour - 30 grams
- Powdered sugar - 30 grams
- Eggs, beaten - 1 egg
- Corn syrup - 2 tbsp
- Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp
- Warm liquid milk - 90 ml
- Butter - 50 grams
- Purple sweet potato flour - 100 grams

- Sweet potato, steamed - 400 grams
- Honey - 2 tbsp
- Salt - 1/4 tsp

- Mix tapioca flour, white glutinous rice flour and powdered sugar. Mix well.
- Add eggs, corn syrup, and vegetable oil, mix with a spatula. Add warm liquid milk, then knead until smooth.
- Add butter, knead again until smooth (dough will be soft and sticky). Add flour, knead again.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Mix all the filling ingredients, then divide into 12 portions.
- Take 1 skin dough then flatten and fill with stuffing. Cover tightly and form an oval like a sweet potato.
- Place the dough on a tray or plate that has been coated with purple sweet potato flour. Do it until the dough runs out.
- Roll the dough that has been formed into the purple sweet potato flour until smooth. Arrange on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper.
- Prick the dough using the blunt end of a toothpick in several places to make it resemble a sweet potato.
- Bake at 150°C until cooked for 20 minutes.
- If there is no corn syrup, it can be replaced with sugar syrup.
