Cream cheese is one of my favorite ingredients that can make food more special. For bread spreads, glaze cinnamon rolls, even for the main ingredients of cakes such as cheesecake. So that you don't come up short, just make your own, practical & cheap cream cheese with the following recipe.

Ingredients

  • Fresh milk - 1 liter
  • Lime/lemon juice - 3 tbsp
  • Salt - 1 tsp

Plans

  • Bring the milk to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  • Pour 1 tablespoon of lime / lemon juice, while continuing to stir. Repeat again until the orange juice runs out.
  • If lumps have formed, turn off the heat and leave for 3-5 minutes.
  • Strain the milk and allow it to drip off the water, for about 15 minutes.
  • Take lumps / dregs of the filter. Add salt and stir until smooth.
  • Cream cheese is ready to use or store.
  • Cream cheese can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 7 days in an airtight container.
