Brown Sugar Steamed Sponge Recipe

Ingredients
- Wheat flour - 125 grams
- Brown sugar, fine comb - 75 grams
- Sugar - 2 tbsp
- Water - 100 ml
- Egg yolk - 1 egg
- Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - 1/4 tsp
- Vegetable oil - 50 ml

- Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
- Boil pandan leaves, brown sugar, sugar and water until dissolved over low heat. Remove and cool.
- Heat the steamer pot/cook until it is steaming a lot. Cover the lid with a washcloth/napkin. Line the steamed sponge mold with paper cups.
- Mix egg yolks until pale. Add the brown sugar solution and the flour mixture alternately little by little, while mixing on low speed until smooth.
- Pour vegetable oil, mix well until homogeneous.
- Pour the mixture into the mold until it is full.
- Put the steamed sponge into the steamer pot/cook, space between them. Steam over high heat for 15 minutes. Lift and remove the cake from the mould.
- Ready to be served.
