Ingredients

  • Big size goldfish @ 500 gram - 1 fish
  • Lime - 1 fruit
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Cooking oil - 3 tbsp
  • Sweet soy sauce - 3 tbsp
  • Lime - 1 fruit
  • Ground spices:
  • Shallots - 6 grains
  • Garlic - 3 cloves
  • Curly red chilies - 3 pieces
  • Turmeric - 2 cm
  • Coriander - 1 tsp
  • Candlenut - 2 grains
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Complementary:
  • Tomato sauce - to taste
  • Lalapan - to taste

  • Clean the goldfish, remove the gills and dirt, scrape, wash clean. Sprinkle with lime juice and salt, leave for 10 minutes, then rinse again until clean, drain.
  • Heat the oil, fry the ground spices for a while until fragrant, but don't let it dry out, then let it cool.
  • Spread the spices thinly on the surface of the goldfish and the inside until evenly distributed, allow some time to soak.
  • Grill the carp with coals while turning it over until it is half cooked.
  • Mix the remaining spices with the sweet soy sauce and lime juice. Spread on the fish while grilled until cooked.
  • Serve grilled goldfish with chili sauce and vegetables according to taste.
  • Cover the goldfish with banana leaves at the beginning of the roast so that the skin doesn't stick to the grill.
