Catfish Mangut Recipe

Ingredients

Catfish - 4 tails
Small kara coconut milk - 1 pack
Water - 200 ml
Bay leaf - 3 pieces
Lemongrass - 2 sticks
Galangal - 1 segment
Red chilies, sliced - 2 pieces
Green chilies, sliced - 2 pieces
Tomato, sliced - 1 piece
Oil for frying - to taste
Ground spices:
Shallots - 6 grains
Garlic - 4 cloves
Kencur - 2 cm
Turmeric - 2 cm
Candlenut - 2 grains
Ginger - 1 knuckle
Curly red chili - 4 pieces
Red cayenne pepper - 3 pieces

Plans

Wash the catfish until all the mucus is gone.
Fry catfish until half cooked and slightly dry.
Saute ground spices. Add bay leaf, lemongrass, and galangal. Stir until fragrant.
Add water & coconut milk. Then add catfish, sliced chilies & tomatoes.
Cook until the spices are absorbed & the gravy is slightly thickened.
Lift & ready to serve.
