Review: Topokki Koreakeun . Korean Food
What are you up to? I'm busy watching Drakor😉. Who among you has watched "25-21"?☝... the film is really heart breaking , isn't it? I do yes! Ever since I subscribed to Netflix (which one is Netflix, I've already joined the promo...hehe), the Drakor parade has not stopped. I'd say I'm late for Darkor fever, but better late than never, right?
It's best to watch K-Drama while snacking on Drakor's signature dishes, one of which, in my opinion, is Topokki and Chicken Buldak. Feelings are almost in every Korean drama. Is it really that famous to eat this there? It's like some kind of peek, isn't it?
Yesterday, I tried Topokki from the Mamasuka brand. Today I'm curious about the Koreakeun brand version of Topokki . From the name alone, I think it's unique. What's more, if Sundanese people feel like they're reciting the Sundanese spelling, yes, "-keun". I've been wanting to try this Topokki Koreakeun on Shopee , it's been a long time, but only arrived now. So, those who are curious, check out the review (be careful not to drool..)
List of contents :Unboxing Instant Topokki Koreakeun
Nowadays, everything is easy, for example, if you want to eat Topokki, you don't need to go to Korea first, you just have to look for it via the application, or just make it yourself, it's not complicated, because there are already instant ones. Basically, I like to cook, but I can't imagine having to make Topokki by myself, I haven't made the rice cakes, I haven't mixed the seasonings, it's complicated, even though my hungry stomach can't wait. So, having instant Topokki Korean food like from the Koreakeun brand is very helpful.

From the packaging, it looks very practical and uncomplicated, and it's also easy to carry everywhere, because it's quite thin and easy to tuck in a bag. The packaging of this pouch uses a dominant color of yellow (or orange, huh.. hehe), usually the spicy one has a black and red cover, so that it looks scary, but maybe this means the combination of red and yellow, representing the spicy taste that comes with it. it's soft , yes.
Whatever it is, I really like the cover, it's nice to see. Can anyone guess what it contains? aren't you curious? but wait a minute, I want to discuss the other part first before filling. Topokki Korean food from the Koreakeun brand uses the Hala label, yes, guys... yes, of course, a local brand with an imported taste, rather than an imported brand with a unclear halal label. Halal first ...
The packaging is also very complete, apart from the halal label, the expiration date is clear, the distribution number, and nutritional information. So, if I say it, it's really worth it as a food for public consumption. It's also been explained here how to cook it, so that it tastes good. There is also a composition, but is this really not using MSG? the problem is that there is nothing in the description, I hope it's true, because right now it 's happening right now , natural foods without substances like that.

Now, it's time for unboxing, for those who are curious to see what's inside, let's just open it. It is divided into 4 pieces: rice cake, gochujang sauce, sesame seeds, and chili powder. If you want more, you can add as much as you like. As for the rice cakes themselves, these are already in vacuum packaging, so they might last longer even without preservatives, because logically, the air that makes the food go stale is already out. Quite a lot of content, Worth it.

Topokki price
Now talking about prices, this Topokki Koreakeun costs around 18 thousand, it's standard, the average Topokki price is instant or you buy it through the ojol application, the price range is between 15 thousand - 20 thousand, so if I tell you it's a bit middle- middle. For a while I found this product on online shopping, I don't know if it's already entered Indomart, Alfamart, or other minimarkets.
But the average price of Topokki at other Indomart brands is the same, around that much. In terms of price and content, I think it's appropriate, what else I like about this, there's a lot of sesame, compared to other brands, which are only cheap. Because this affects the taste too. Plus there's extra chili powder, so you can adjust the spiciness yourself, even though I don't use it, because I prefer to use the original seasoning. That's all, now let's just talk about the taste, okay?
Topokki Korean food taste
The point is taste, to be honest, I really like this Korean food, and I've had quite a few adventures moving here and there to find the right Topokki taste on my tongue (it's like wandering around looking for seblak anyway...hehe). In my opinion, I like this Topokki Koreakeun. As for the gochujang sauce, it wasn't too sweet, there were times when it was really sweet. The basic taste of Topokki is sweet, but if it's too sweet, it's like eating cilok with too much soy sauce. If this is right, it's a great job for those who mix the spices!
The rice cakes are too chewy for me, does the original recipe for rice cakes add tapioca or not? I've never tried it, but I'm just curious. It probably lives up to its claims too, which is chewy. But that's okay, I don't know if it takes a long time to cook, maybe it will be easier to chew, or maybe I cooked it too fast, so it hasn't fully developed. However, this is still the same as the taste of the delicious sauce, so I just blended it in my mouth. Nice...

Well, this is what it looks like after I cook it. Isn't it similar to the one in Drakor? similar to what I said... hehe. See? There's a lot of sesame, right, the taste is very similar to the typical taste of Korean cuisine, which smells like sesame oil, you know. Spicy sweetness is also already a winner (this feeling has been discussed a long time ago...😀). I purposely just added a sausage topping, just to make it look pretty, originally for Topokki I prefer the Ori version, I don't use various kinds of additions, because it makes it feel more Korean. You can also add moza cheese, various seafood, and others as you like.
So, my final assessment for this Topokki Koreakeun:
Flavor: 4/5
Price:4/5
Packaging: 4/5
Buy again: yes
