Review: Oatmeal Usagi Puff, Fiber Rich Snack

Snacking activities are really hard to get rid of, especially for me... what else while watching TV, it doesn't feel like a bowl of popcorn is over (lebay.. hehe). This time I want to review one of the new snacks (just see what it means..).

His name is Usagi Puff Wheat, from the name it's quite curious, what kind of wheat is made into puffs. In addition, wheat, which includes cereals, is claimed to contain good enough dietary fiber.

(Usagi Wheat Puff)

Packaging, Pricing, and Nutritional Information

So far I can only find this product in supermarkets near my house and in my favorite marketplace here . And the ad also doesn't seem to be on TV, or am I the one who hasn't watched it yet

The price is quite cheap, only around 7 thousand, if you are on a promo, sometimes you can buy two get one free. That price is normal, it's the same as the price of potato chips, with the same size.

The wrapper is made of a kind of semi-aluminum plastic that is easy to bend. The color is quite striking: orange. Maybe this represents the caramel taste in the product. The weight is 60 grams, the size is only one, I can't find a bigger or smaller one (for example, the renceng size).

(Product Information)

Usagi Puff This wheat has a claim to be high in fiber, there is a fiber content of 2 g per 20 g serving. For the calorie content of about 150 kcal (including fat), for each serving of 20 grams.

If the net weight is 60 grams, so ideally according to the serving suggestion, this one plastic is for 3 meals, but I just finished using one plastic, how about that... because it's delicious.

In addition to containing fiber, these snacks also contain other nutrients that can be directly seen on the back of the package.

Taste and Texture

There's only one taste of this, namely caramel, so for those who like a salty taste, I guess there's no other choice. The caramel taste is quite sweet in my opinion, and there is a hint of vanilla in it besides the sugar taste.

The size is quite small, compared to the corn puff version. So if you eat only one at a time, it won't taste good.. hehe. You have to eat a lot, take it with a spoon as well as you can, so that more goes into your mouth.

(Texture and size)

The texture is puff, if you want to explain what puff is like, so when you bite it, it melts in your mouth, the difference is that it is in the form of a pop (for example, popcorn), when you bite it, it is more textured and denser than pop.

Material Composition

So because this title is wheat, of course the main ingredient is wheat. But besides wheat, of course there are also other additional ingredients, such as flavorings, and others.

But maybe because it tastes sweet, why can't I find MSG? Hmm.. even though usually MSG is already a kind of "mandatory" ingredient that is always present in most snack manufacturers. Either that's good news or I don't know the other name of MSG

(product composition)

For those who are allergic to crustaceans, nuts, and milk, you may have to be a bit aware, as it is stated on the packaging, the place to make this food is also used for other foods that contain the allergens above.

Well, in general, I like this Wheat Usagi Puff, the taste is also quite good with sweets (yes, caramel..), and if you don't finish it, it's better to store it in the refrigerator, because it's really easy to go sluggish.

So, my assessment of this Wheat Puff Usagi, is:

Flavor: 4/5

Packaging: 5/5

Price: 4/5

Buy again: maybe
