Ingredients

  • White glutinous rice - 250 grams
  • Medium coconut milk - 150 ml
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Pandan leaves - 1 sheet
  • Bay leaf - 2 pieces
  • Milk Vla Ingredients:
  • Liquid milk - 300 ml
  • White sweetened condensed milk - 2 tbsp
  • Maizena, dissolved in 50 ml of water - 2 tsp
  • Topping Ingredients:
  • Oreos, coarsely crushed - 10 pieces
  • Cheddar cheese, grated - to taste

Plans

  • Wash the glutinous rice until clean. Soak in plenty of water for 1 hour.
  • Steam the sticky rice until half cooked, about 15 minutes.
  • In a saucepan, boil the coconut milk, salt, bay leaf, and pandan leaves until it boils. Turn off the fire.
  • Bring a steamer/pan to a boil over medium heat. Steam the sticky rice again until cooked for 30 minutes.
  • Vla: In a saucepan, mix the liquid milk and sweetened condensed milk. Stir well and bring to a boil. Pour in the cornstarch solution, stir well, and cook until thickened. Remove and set aside.
  • Solution: Arrange sticky rice on a plate, pour vla, and sprinkle with toppings. Ready to be served.
  • 1. For vla, liquid milk can be replaced with coconut milk for a more savory taste.
