Review: Sensation Spicy Sweet Ramyeon Koreakeun

If you had read my review yesterday about two  Koreankeun products that made me really curious: Buldak and Ramyeon. What's the difference between the two? Kameren already discussed the taste of Buldak, now I will discuss the taste of Ramyeon. Both are Korean noodles, yes, only, what is the difference between the two, we will discuss here.

For those who haven't read my review of the Korean version of Korean Buldak food, you can read it first, so you can understand the difference... hehe. Well, let's thoroughly review this Koreankeun Ramyeon. Happy reading and drooling

List of contents :

Unboxing Ramyeon Koreakeun

Ramyeon itself means noodles, yes, like the Japanese version of ramen. it's just that in the Korean version, the taste that stands out is the spicy and slightly sour taste from the fermentation of one of the ingredients contained in the gochujang sauce, which is usually always present in Korean cuisine.

If you're hungry and drooling for Korean food, especially Ramyeon, now you can make your own with lots of Korean-style instant noodle dishes. Even now in the nearest minimarket, there are many Korean instant foods from local brands. One of them is the Koreakeun brand, which has a Korean noodle product with the title Ramyeon.

(Ramyeon Koreakeun)

From the packaging, it's very Indonesian, red and white.. hehe I actually feel 17's aura is present every time I see this Ramyeon pack, I thought at first this was a special edition, but it's actually like that. From the package, you can already see what the noodles look like, but what do you think are the contents? When I opened it, it turned out that the inside was similar to most other instant noodle products but of course there is a difference, because it is equipped with sesame seeds which are quite abundant for the size of instant noodles (but this is less sesame than the Topokki version if I say...), and also chili powder which can be adjusted according to the level of spiciness.

From the contents of the package, it can be seen like the photo above, yes, there are noodles, spices such as sauce, chili powder and sesame seeds. The portion size of the noodles is just right, not too much or too little, and looks big. It's just a plop, right, bestie... that's easy, isn't it.

You can also add this and that, if I like it, add mozzarella, so that there is a meral sensation when you eat it, so that the taste is balanced between spicy and savory. Those who like the taste of creamy noodles can also try using this additional cheese.

Price of Ramyeon

Korean food is quite familiar nowadays, yes, and the price is also very varied, depending on the type of food and who sells it, of course. Because Ramyeon Koreakeun is one of Indonesia's MSME products, the price is also adjusted to our pockets, yes, which in my opinion is cheaper than the imported one.

You can get this product at Shopee , or your favorite shops (if I shop at Shopee often..hehe) the price is around 15 thousand, worth it for the portion. With that price, it is also very affordable for its delicious taste, and practical too.

Spicy sweet Korean food

Now let's talk about the taste, yes, as for the taste spoiler, what is definitely striking is the spicy taste 😊. Hmm ... and the difference is the same as the version of his brother, the Buldak. For Ramyeon, this is the light version , without chili powder the sauce is spicy enough in my opinion, but for the sauce in Ramyoun, there is a hint of sweetness, and the scent of sesame oil is quite light.

If I had to choose, I want the Buldak version or the Ramyeon version, maybe I (it's me...) would prefer the Buldak version, because I relatively like the slightly pungent chili aroma and salty taste. But if you want noodles with a pretty striking gochujang aroma, you can try this Ramyeon.

When cooking, I also add cheese on top, for a more savory taste. And a little chili powder too, and don't forget to sprinkle sesame seeds on top when it's cooked. The result is like this:

Koreankeun Ramyeon Noodles
(Cheese Ramyeon)
Uiiihhh... the sauce is really thick doesn't it look? yes, add more moza cheese which is chewy, the noodles also have a fairly chewy texture in my opinion. So it's okay. It's actually still smoky, it's just that it doesn't appear on the camera , I didn't have time to adjust the settings, because I was hungry. This fix is delicious.

So, for Ramyeon Koreakeun my assessment is:

Taste: 4/5

Price: 4/5

Packaging: 4/5

Buy again: yes
