Review: Buldak Koreakeun

I'm still enjoying trying Korean food products from the Koreakeun brand , yesterday I talked about how good Topokki is . Now I'm curious about Buldak. I've heard the word "Buldak" many times, but usually it's synonymous with fried chicken, so it's kind of like Korean fried chicken (usually it's floured, it's covered in hot sauce, as far as I know).

Later, I also found out that this Buldak sauce is identical to the taste of Samyang. So now let's try the Korean version of Mie Buldak. Actually there are two products that make me curious, they have two products that are similar: Buldak and Ramyeon. What's the difference huh? what does it taste like? I want to talk about Buldak first, so check it out...

Unboxing Buldak Koreakeun

Koreankeun Buldak Noodles

(Buldak Koreakeun)

Well, it's still the same as yesterday's Topokki product packaging, yes, very practical and easy to tuck in a bag. Yesterday, the main ingredient was rice cake, this one is noodles. With the dominant colors black and orange, it looks really like it's going to be really spicy or not, plus the effect is like a blazing fire, the auto is really spicy, isn't it?

Now let's just talk about the contents, hmm... what do I get from this bag of Buldak? Taraaaa... the inside consists of noodles, chili powder, sesame seeds, and Buldak sauce. I'm interested in the sauce, the Buldak sauce that I know is still derived from gochujang with the addition of other spices. But there should still be a difference, I'll discuss it later in the taste section.

What is unique about Buldak Koreakeun is that there is additional chili powder, which you can make and adjust the level of spiciness yourself. So everyone with different tastes in spiciness can go all in. Oh yes, there was once a rumor that noodles with imported Buldak flavor had caused confusion, because there was no halal label. But if Buldak is from Koreakeun, there's already a halal label since birth .

Bulk Price

Now, let's see what Worth it is, Buldak Koreakeun? for one portion of this Buldak the price is around 15 thousand, it's not too expensive but it's not really cheap. What's more, if you buy in a marketplace like Shopee , toped, or whatever, do you like cashback promos? so the fall is definitely more profitable. Come on, the discount hunter team is approaching...😅

For that price, you've got the right portion, and it's quite filling too. And of course it's practically not complicated to have to bother with mixing the spices, because it's just squishy, you can also add this as a topping, by buying it separately. For example Moza cheese, etc. Because the complementary ingredients in the noodles are only sesame seeds and spices.

Buldak Korean food taste

Now about taste. Hmm... how about it, it's spicy, I didn't add additional chili powder, and I think the taste is spicier than the Topokki seasoning that I tried yesterday from the same brand. Oh, yes, I was wondering what the difference between Buldak and Ramyeon is, because they are both noodles, right, and I already got the answer.

The Buldak version is for those of you who like noodles with a spicy and salty taste, and this is more spicy, while the Ramyeon is more sweet. For the Koreankeun Ramyeon Review, I will discuss it in detail in the next post, wait for it!

Buldak
(Buldak various toppings)

Because it only contains noodles, there are no friends, so I added various toppings myself. Incidentally here I use a variety of seafood, and moza cheese. Oh my gosh, suddenly my stomach growled seeing this... hehe. It's also easy to make something like this, guys... we can cheat on the packaging, because we've already been told. A tip from me, so that the Moza is not too mushy or not even cooked so it doesn't melt, you can add it a minute before the noodles are removed from the pan. So put the mozzarella cheese on top of the noodles, let it sit for a while, then lift it carefully, don't let it break, show it off on IG, okay... hehe

The taste with the addition of moza cheese makes it taste more creamy, I really like it seriously. For this one, I don't know because I added this and that, the taste of the sesame oil aroma that I got from Taste Topokki yesterday was lacking here. But it's still delicious, and if you add all the chilies, be careful, yes, it's really spicy!😭😵

mozzarella bullshit
(Buldak Mozzarella)

Wow... take out all the noodles already, it's really delicious to eat it hot when it burns your tongue, seriously, the cheese is really runny like that. Oh yes, this is actually a spicy noodle, right, so the cheese can balance it, it is said that culinary experts say that fat from diary products, such as milk, yogurt, cheese, can bind spicy substances from chilies. So eating this Buldak with cheese is perfect for me.

So, my assessment of this Buldak Koreakeun:

Flavor: 5/5

Price: 4/5

Packaging: 5/5

Buy again: yes
